Admin menu in Agent view?

  • 1.  Admin menu in Agent view?

    Hi

    Had anyone else experienced an issue with Admin appearing in the top line menu in the standard agent view?

    It wasn't there at end of play yesterday - 20:30 BST 22 July 2024, but it has been present 08:30 this morning.

    Clicking on it loads a blank page with no options, so it's not a problem, but it's different and new.

    Hello Dave,

    That certainly does sound odd. Is this happening on all agents stations or just a select few? Does it persist after you clear your browser's cache? I'm wondering if some view permissions may have been changed.

    Hi Jason,

    As far as I am aware, it appeared for all of our agents as of 23 July.  Most agents use the desktop app, but we have checked it using a browser and receive the same result.

    I have viewed screen recordings from 22 July and earlier and it's not there, but on recordings from the start of our workday on 23rd July it is there.

    To the best of my knowledge, no changes have been made to the agent role permissions recently.

    This issue started to happen the last few days for all agents and all orgs we support, web app and the desktop app. It seemed related to the last Genesys update. Also another new feature is visible now for the agents, under performance, contact center, Queue Routing Performance without adding new permissions to the agents. To remove that new feature, we have to remove routing - queue - view but it would also remove my queue activity as they are tied to the same permissions. This needs to be fixed.

    Hey Dave,

    I was looking over the Release Notes for July 22, 2024, but I don't see anything that should have affected any permissions / added the Admin tab to agents without elevated permissions. I'm doing some internal checks to see if I can find what changed. If anyone has opened a case with Customer Care, please let me know the case number and I can check on that as well.

    I will let you all know if I'm able to find some info on this.

    Thanks for looking into this @Jason Kleitz. I just opened 0003537204 by the request of one of our TAM counterparts (@Drew Carrico). He recommends others do the same to get the right level of attention on it.
