  • 1.  Architect - On Disconnect Event

    Posted 08-05-2024 13:19

I want to be able to call a web service and pass information to it from the IVR AFTER disconnecting the caller.

I can work around the limitation by calling the web service before disconnecting them, but that will needlessly make the caller wait even though the caller's part is finished. But the limitation that I CAN'T work around is if the caller disconnects early. We have required information that needs to be sent back to the web service after the call ends, whether the user disconnects early or stays on the line.

I see there are two posts relating to my issue from 2020 and 2022.

Has there been any updates since then? If there hasn't, is the AWS Event Bridge still the recommended route to take to achieve this goal?

    Hello Michael,

At this time the AWS Event Bridge is the best route to achieve this goal.

    Cheers,

AWS event bridge as Cameron mentioned is a good option, the other is Genesys Automation Triggers.

Take a look to see which events are available for AWS and automation here:

    https://developer.genesys.cloud/notificationsalerts/notifications/available-topics

But from the sound of things you are probably looking for v2.detail.events.conversation.{id}.customer.end
