Hi Vinicius,
We typically recommend a layered approach for DNC management in Genesys Cloud Outbound:
- Maintain an internal DNC list within Genesys Cloud and update it automatically through API integrations with CRM or customer preference systems.
- Process opt-outs in near real time whenever possible. If a customer requests to stop communications during an interaction, their number should be added to the DNC list immediately to prevent future contact attempts.
- Schedule regular synchronization with external sources (hourly or daily, depending on business and compliance requirements) to ensure consistency across systems.
- Centralize consent and preference management whenever possible, with Genesys Cloud consuming those updates rather than maintaining multiple independent sources of truth.
In my experience, the most common challenge isn't maintaining the DNC list itself, but ensuring all outbound channels and systems honor the same customer preferences consistently. A centralized consent strategy combined with API-driven updates helps reduce compliance risk and operational complexity.
I'm curious how others are handling multi-channel opt-outs (voice, SMS, email, and digital channels) and whether you're using a single preference center or separate suppression mechanisms.
Thanks,
