Does anyone know if Genesys cloud uses Confluence?  Our vendor risk audit is asking this question and Genesys customer care couldn't tell us a straight answer and asked us to try the community.

I believe that many teams do as well as Jira for projects.  They are mainly using it for documentation if I remember.

HI Edward, probably worth asking.. but are you asking whether Genesys themselves use Confluence internally - such as what Robert's mentioned, or are you asking whether certain features/functions of Genesys Cloud are being done through Confluence?  How did this particular topic come up in risk audit discussions?

Hi @Vaun McCarthy.  I am asking whether certain features/functions of Genesys Cloud are being done through Confluence.  I am not sure how our vendor risk folks relate Confluence to Genesys.  I think maybe somehow they found that Genesys was a customer of Confluence.
    Thanks,
    Ed

Hey Edward.  Genesys cloud does not associate with Confluence in any way from what I know. There is no integration in the app foundry, and no features are integrated between the two products.

We do have Jira, which is a product in the Atlassian sweet of offerings. (Confluence is also in that line of products) However, the Jira AppFoundry integration is limited to chat functionality regarding notifications about tickets. So it isn't related....

Atlassian Confluence is just a documentation portal, at its most basic level.

You can find the sub processors listing below which does not include Confluence.

The security concern is probably related to the vulnerability announced at the beginning of this month that impacted non-cloud versions of Confluence:

    https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-security-advisory-2022-06-02-1130377146.html#:~:text=The%20OGNL%20injection%20vulnerability%20allows,are%20affected%20by%20this%20vulnerability.
