  • 1.  Cost estimation for Voice bot

    Hello Everyone,

    My customer is planning to deploy a voice bot in the IVR, and I've been tasked with determining the cost per call.

    While reviewing the pricing details in the Resource Center, I came across the following calculation but couldn't fully understand how it's derived:

    Session time = 15 seconds
    Per minute price is $0.06 with 15-second increments
    Total: $0.015

    Session time: 18 seconds
    Cost: $0.12

    Total cost: $0.015 + $0.12 = $0.135

    Could someone please explain how this calculation is done and why the 18-second session results in a $0.012 charge?

    Hi Paras,

    I have left feedback on the document to clarify as I believe that it is incorrect in the example.  I think the 18 seconds should be classed as two 15 second increments, that would be $0.03 and therefore the total cost should be $0.045 for the example.  I will update here when I hear back from them as to why the calculation is correct or if they will amend the article

    Thank you for addressing my query. I share the same assumption as you.

    Meanwhile, could you please confirm whether integration with a third-party ASR is required for Voice bots, or does Genesys have an internal ASR solution?

    Genesys Dialog Engine handles ASR and NLU for voice bots...so, built in.
