We have had this issue reported today as well. It begs the question as this issue has been around for a while that nothing in release notes mention this issue (that I can see) is in the latest versions. If that had been communicated, we (and other customers) may have delayed packaging a new version.
In saying that we also would be keen to understand when its likely to be fixed. This will allow us to decide on a rollback strategy.

We upgraded the app version today and we're seeing this issue too.
Is the fix, whenever it is available, going to require an application version update again too? I.e. We will have to repeat the packaging process?

If you have a support case open then you can escalate there.
This request is already been escalated several times and the dev team is working on developing a fix currently. It seems the issue is with the underlying Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF). Which is going to take awhile for the fix.

My agents recently commented that the automatic spell check feature for digital interactions is no longer there. They use the desktop app, but I ran a quick test and encountered this in both the desktop app and browser. I scanned through various admin pages (Email, Queues, Organization Settings) to see if there is a new setting that needs to be enabled for this but didn't find anything there, and don't recall seeing anything in release notes. I'm trying to find out when they first noticed this change. Seems unlikely that this would be an intentional change - wondering if others have encountered this or have any insight?
