A call will tear down when there is a BYE sent from either party on the call, or when a certain threshold of inactivity has been reach from either side of the call. The error.ininedgecontrol.session.inactive / Client – Session is inactive error that you might see are no real indication of any errors that occurred on the call.

Hi Jason,
I'm not much of a tech person so pardon my question, but does that mean the call should eventually disconnect on both ends, agent and caller? I see this error code on calls where only the agent gets disconnected, and the caller stays connected. What triggers the "tearing down the call at the remote end"?

The short answer is that that is not really an error where something went wrong, such as a call being dropped. If you see that, you should be able to ignore it. I've talked to a few subject matter experts in the past and the exact details on what triggers that 'error' tend to happen after the agent leg attempts to disconnect from a call after the remote end has already begun the process of tearing down the call.

The agents are saying that the call disconnects within 3 seconds or 5 seconds before they can pick up or something like that. But, here it says the agent hangs up after the caller,.,after the caller disconnects or what happens?
