  • 1.  Genesys Multicloud CX Private Edition

    Hello Everyone,

    Has anyone in the group has used the Genesys Multicloud CX Private Edition ?  

    My question is there are multiple service mentioned and also Genesys has given order of implementation. Can we install only required service in cloud while the rest is in premise ?

    As per my understanding in Private Edition everything should be deployed within your Kubernetes cluster and its up to you to decide where your cluster worker nodes will be located, for example you can join an on-premise worker node to a k8s cluster hosted in AWS/Azure to achieve your requirements.

    Thanks a lot, my question is more about having a mix of pure Engage premise (Hosted in data center) + Multicloud CX private (hosted in aws). is this possible? 

    based on my understanding, looks like this is not a lift and shift or on prem to private cloud.

    Since Multicloud CX PE and Pure Engage premise are two different streams, genesys provided a way for migration to achieve innovation available from containerized software without making a full transition to Multicloud CX PE called "Mixed Mode" but it supports only specific use cases (services).

    I don't have detailed information about Mixed Mode supported use cases since public documentation information is very limited but i think this is what you are looking for and your account manger might be able to give you more information about this mode.

    Hi @Sivakumar B, very glad to hear of your interest in Multicloud CX private edition.  This is the product for those that want to retain control of managing and operating Genesys contact center services on your infrastructure of choice.  Indeed for the desire to gain access and achieve innovation incrementally with the current Genesys Engage on-premises footprint without making the full transition to private edition is by means of the deployment model "mixed mode".

    The "mixed mode" deployment model is exactly about the mix of Genesys Engage on-premises software in combination with Multicloud CX services as containerized software leveraging cloud native technology and orchestrated through supported Kubernetes engines.  Whether classic Engage on VMs or Multicloud containers in Kubernetes cluster, all of which can be run on the infrastructure of choice whether it be data centers, private or public cloud.  We are currently working on this offer and supported use cases to be reflected in our Interaction Experience public documentation portal later this year.​

    @Sivakumar B couple resources I can point towards:
    • Multicloud CX private edition portal page on Information Experience (IX) public docs.  These will continue to mature with the product, there is Discus plug-ins on the pages if you're like to start a conversation where our IX and Product teams.
    • Regarding timelines please reach out to your Account Team whom have access to the quarterly roadmap presentations with this information.  Working with account and pre-sales teams will help in making these important decisions.
    • Lastly, check out the community repo we've launched -- there is a discussion section as well:

      • We are happy to announce the release of our first two open-source repositories for Genesys Multicloud CX private edition. First, the Multicloud-Platform repository provides samples for provisioning the underlying cloud platform with the required architecture for running Genesys services using Terraform modules (Infrastructure as Code). Secondly, the Multicloud-Services repository provides samples for deploying and upgrading our services using pipelines and enabling monitoring. Both the repositories contain excellent examples that can be used with only minor edits. Links to each are as follows:

        With this initial release, we have worked towards building an environment that is ideal for demos, labs, and proofs of concept.
