  • 1.  Is it possible to create future requests to flex in?

    Posted 29 days ago

We have staff who will sometimes request is advance to, for instance, take 2 hours off on a Monday next month, and make up the time by working 2 extra hours on Tuesday that week. I can approve a time off request for the 2 hours they'll be out of the office, but I can't find any way in Genesys to have the system record the 2 hours they'll be flexing in to make up that time. Currently I've just got a running spreadsheet of updates that need to be made when that week's schedule is created - "Mary flexing in 4-6 on Tuesday", and I need to check it each time a new schedule is created and update accordingly. Is there any way to create a sort of time in request in Genesys, in the same way that one creates a time off request, so it's all noted in the system and it's automatically added by Genesys when that week's schedule is created?

    Hi Joann,

I'm going to move this discussion across to the WEM Community as they will be better placed to answer your question.

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, there is no easy way to do this. We also offer a Flex option to our agents, and every week we go through the previous week using the adherence view in the schedule to adjust each agent's time. It's tedious, but that's how we have to do it since this basic feature isn't available.
