Cedric Gawlik is our featured Instructor of the Month for June!
Cedric has been working with Genesys for 14 years now. He was hired as a trainer. Before that, Cedric worked in small French companies where he had different jobs, like pre-sale, PM, PS and more and he would always finish as a trainer.
Cedric started teaching the Genesys Engage Courses. He now teaches most of them (Framework, IRD, Composer, eServices, Reporting, Infomart, SIP Server, Troubleshooting) except GVP and GIR. Cedric has added other courses to his skills matrix and can teach on Genesys Cloud now (IMP, ADM, Reporting, Architect, QM, WFM, Outbound, Scripting) and recently API.
With all courses he can teach, Cedric does not feel he has a real specialization, but he loves to teach SIP Server, probably because he did Voice Over IP before Genesys, on different protocols as well (H323, mgcp).
Cedric prefers teaching classes that include Dev classes. He likes these type classes so he can propose different way to do something. It provides more possibilities and troubleshooting. On the Engage solution, he likes to read the logs with students and explain that everything is written in the logs if something doesn't work. He likes to help them finding the solution.
Cedric likes to discover new things which allows him to meet different people. He likes football (as he says "Soccer"), climbing, "via ferrata", and cycling. Even if he is not a specialist of the arts, Cedric tries to visit many museums. He discovered Edward Hoper, the brothers "Le Nain", Zorn and so on. Cedric's next step is to visit the exhibition "Albert Edelfelt" in the "Petit Palais" in Paris. (I am sure everyone knows at least one painting of him. :-)
Cedric lives near Paris, so it easy for him and he can do everything by bike, to Versailles or to Paris. This is one of the reasons why he likes living here. Cedric lives next to the forest. Nature is very important and essential for him, so during vacations he tries to hike, bike and for sure via ferrata and climbing. Travel has given him a lot, but now he is trying to cut back on his travels. He is enjoying rediscovering his country.
In the attached pictures he shows Sli the dog. This was Cedric's best friend during the pandemic (it is not his though!). He wanted to share a picture of "via ferrata", and for the last one you will recognize!
