    hello,

Do we have a limit on adding data action integrations? If so, how can we increase this threshold?

    thank you

    Hi Rihab,

Yes, there is a limit on the total number of data actions across your entire Genesys Cloud organization.

According to the Genesys Cloud Developer Center documentation on organization limits, the limit is specified by `actions.total.max`, and the default value is 400. This means you can have a maximum of 400 data actions, in total, across all your integrations.

A Genesys employee clarified the reason for this limit in another forum thread. They stated that the 400 limit is in place because Genesys Cloud has only thoroughly tested the backend service and UI up to that number of actions. Increasing the limit would require further testing to ensure stability and performance.

    Kind regards,

hello, I didn't even reach the 100 integrations of type Data Action, but when I try to add one, nothing happens when I click on Install.

    Hi,

It feels like you want to create a new Genesys Cloud Data Action that interacts with a Platform Client API endpoint. Let's clarify the process:

    1. Integration vs. Action: You're likely confusing the integration with the action.

      • Integration: The "Genesys Cloud Data Actions" integration is a pre-requisite. It's like installing a plugin that allows you to create data actions. You probably already have this installed. This is why clicking the "Install" button doesn't do anything – it's already there!
      • Action: A Data Action is a specific task you define within that integration. It's the actual configuration that uses the API endpoint. This is what you need to create.
    2. Creating the Data Action (Not Installing the Integration):

      • You don't need to click "Install" again. You need to create a new action.
      • Go to the Admin section of Genesys Cloud.
      • Navigate to the "Actions" page.
      • Click the "+ Add Action" button.

    3. Detailed Instructions:

      • For a step-by-step guide on configuring the new Data Action (including how to use the API endpoint), refer to the official Genesys Cloud documentation: "Create a custom action for integrations." in the Genesys Cloud Resource Center.
