Monique,
This is a really important communication and Genesys is (rightly IMHO) using every means available to get the message out. It's been in release notes, they are communicating directly and via partners (individually) and so on. They have been criticized in the past (again, rightly IMHO) for not communicating changes out.
From what I can gather, the number of people who haven't run the readiness check yet is a cause for concern.
That being said, the email address is worrying. It is entirely possible (may I say likely?) that this is due to a typo by someone. However, it could also be a very clever phishing attack by someone exploiting the need for Genesys to get this out and then replacing the URL. I can say that I have not received an email from that address and I haven't heard reports of anyone else doing so.
My advise would be to not follow any links in this particular email (never can be too careful, can you?) but make sure you perform the readiness check using
the correct link. (You have probably already received it multiple times, but I'm posting it again here, just in case!)
HTH

Hi all
I guess my point is there has to be a better way of Genesys getting important communication out without spamming the world and causing confusion.
I also the community was very vocal in being made aware of changes that we may not see in the "coming soon," but the issue is it was flagged as phishing/spam by my IT team due to the typo in the email address ( geneys instead of genesys). After some investigation, we did realize it was a ligit email, but it caused a lot of confusion for the emails that managed to make it through to our whole org.

I got it as well, I'm guessing it's a typo on the configured From address.
It's been earlier announced in release notes and the links seem to point to actual genesys.com URLs.

Anyone else just get spammed from an address looking like it's a phishing attack- Customer Action Required - Genesys Cloud CIDR IP Address Range Expansion for Media
the email address it was sent from geneys.com (not genesys) so it doesn't look legit. Our email spam filter caught it and I was notified by our IS team.
- It was sent to over +130 people in my organization. Seriously?
- When I compared the link in the email to the Genesys site, it was the same, so I guess it's ok.
Why was this not sent to the Key people that are designated as contacts? I know we had complained about the dashboard update and lack of notice, but this is a bit overkill. There has to be a better way?
@Matt Lawson - were you aware of this communication going out?
Thanks for your thoughts on this
