Eccentex and our customers have a similar request about the sizing and layouts.
Here is our advanced email premium app in the current configuration without multi panel. As you see it takes up the full interaction widget real estate based on sizing.

Here is our advanced email premium app with multi-panel enabled. As you see, we lose about 30% of the agent's working area, with the balance taken up by white space that has no function. The ability to fully size this panel, when no other panels are active, would be critical for our customers. Thank you

Hi Gary and the community,
The current size presets feel limited. I agree with the need for more options for larger screens especially.
I previously raised related concerns about wasted space in the "Select more tools" section and the inability to maximize a single panel to full width in this thread. @Nicholas Robinson mentioned that Genesys is considering improvements, including potentially collapsing the roster. These sizing and layout enhancements are all part of that larger picture.
So, I'm providing feedback on the multi-contextual panels, specifically regarding sizing and customization options. I believe there's room for improvement to better support diverse operational needs, especially on larger screens.
1. Expanded Sizing Options:
- The current size presets feel limited.
- Ideal Solution: Implement free-sizing capability, similar to PureConnect. This would allow users to drag the edge of a panel to resize it to their exact preference.
- Maintain existing presets, but add the free-sizing option as a powerful addition.
2. Permissions and Consistency:
- Recognize that some organizations may not want agents to freely customize their views.
- Suggestion: Introduce granular permissions to control free-sizing (and potentially other customization features). This allows for flexibility where appropriate, while maintaining control where needed.
3. Multi-Contextual Panel Templates (Similar to PureConnect Client Templates):
- Proposal: Implement a system of "panel templates" similiar to PureConnect's client templates.
- These templates would define standard panel layouts and configurations.
- Permissions could then be used to restrict agents to specific templates, ensuring a consistent view across the team. This addresses potential issues arising from inconsistent agent setups.
My suggestions above (free-sizing, permissions, templates) represent just a few possibilities. There are many potential ways to increase customization and control, or even to restrict changes, depending on specific use cases.
I understand this new UI management feature 'multi-contextual panels' is still relatively new. I appreciate the underlying concept and believe that with continued development, it can become even more powerful and adaptable. The core idea is excellent; it just needs more capabilities.
In summary, I believe that adding more flexible sizing options, combined with robust permission controls and template capabilities, would greatly enhance the usability and effectiveness of multi-contextual panels.

Is there a way to resize any of the panels outside of the preset sizes (small - X Large). Our Script window that houses an iframe is still too small for our users in extra large and there can remain a lot of blank space.
