It is difficult to choose just one. A few features have significantly changed the way I work with Genesys Cloud over the last few years.
Architect Execution Data is probably one of the most important ones for me. Being able to follow a flow execution and, especially, inspect variable values during the journey made troubleshooting considerably easier. Today, it is one of those features that is hard to imagine working without.
Another feature that changed the way I build solutions is Genesys Cloud Function Data Actions. Being able to execute custom code within this ecosystem opened many possibilities for optimizing business rules, handling more complex logic, and even reducing the number of Genesys Cloud API calls required in certain scenarios.
I would also include Set/Get Participant Data in Digital Bot Flows. Even with the existing limitations, being able to persist journey information directly on the participant made integration between bots, flows, and later stages of the conversation much easier.
And more recently, I have really liked the evolution of the native External Contacts actions in Architect. Being able to retrieve, search, promote, and now update contacts directly from a flow reduces the need to create Data Actions just to perform basic contact management operations.
Individually, some of these features may seem relatively small, but together they have significantly changed the way I design, develop, and especially troubleshoot customer journeys in Genesys Cloud.
