  • 1.  Per-user settings vs. per-computer settings

    Posted 04-28-2025 11:01

We're in the progress of migrating to Cloud CX. As such, we're planning to have users start off with the multi contextual panel(MCP) enabled so we won't have to teach them something different later. While writing up a user guide and doing some testing, our trainer started working from a different location. She commented to me that her call controls were different when she worked there. Since I know that having the MCP enabled could affect the look and feel of a couple of the call controls, I had her check that setting. It was not enabled when she worked at a different location.

Is enabling the MCP a per-computer setting? I had assumed one of the features of a cloud-based system was that users could log on from anywhere and get the same experience they would get anywhere else. Is there a good list of which settings a user would need to check any time they work at a different computer? Our users regularly move around between computers in the office and at home, so this would be very valuable information for a training guide.

    Hi @Dave Halderman

It's not a per-computer setting.  This what happening.. Since MCP is currently set at an agent level toggle (which is being removed this week) . This toggle setting saved in the cache at the local desktop.  So when the agent moves to a new location it may not follow them.  However this issue will not occur once we retire the agent level toggle.

    Thanks,
