  • 1.  PureConnect Call recordings after migrating to Genesys Cloud

    We are migrating from PureConnect to Genesys Cloud and are required to keep our call recordings for 10 years. What are others doing with their call recordings who are in similar situations?

    HI Michael, 

    We are in the same boat here having to keep our recordings for 5 years. We recently migrated to Genesys Cloud but our recordings are still housed on our servers until our IT can figure out what we can do. 

    I am hoping this thread gets some traction. Crossing fingers for feedback!

    I shared this in a previous post but will summarize here.

    We migrated from PureConnect Cloud.  We stored our recordings in an AWS S3 bucket and utilized the log shipping database so we had a copy of the database on prem

    We had Genesys run the archive process against all of our recordings.  This converts them to a usable file like.wav from .sasf.  
    The process updates the database with the location of the archived file.  

    When we need to retrive a rcording we lookup location in the database and find the bucket and search the appropriate bucket for the recording.
