  • 1.  Restrict users to dialing only a specific list of outbound numbers (or only those registered in external contacts)

    Hello!

    We currently have agents who primarily take inbound calls only. We want to allow them to dial out to a specific set of numbers only (our partners) which are registered as contacts in our external contacts directory. Is there a way I can restrict outbound dialing to only allow them to call numbers on the external contacts (or a whitelist of numbers)?

    Hello David,

    I have not done this myself but you could try to make an Outbound Flow and have it compare the number dialed against a list of allowed numbers. If the number is allowed, let the call go through and if it is not, disconnect the call.

    I don't know of a simple way to allow only numbers in External Contacts...how many numbers are you looking at?

    Technically, you could create Number Plans on a Site and add only the numbers (or patterns) you want them to dial, and add their phones to the site.
