  • 1.  Routing Calls to the Number Customer Dialed

    Hello!

    I am going to be tackling a complicated situation where I am going to building an IVR for our showrooms.  Our showrooms are on an outdated phone system not connected in Genesys so in the near future, we want to forward calls to Genesys to experience an IVR.  One of the options we want to provide is to speak with a sales consultant at our showroom so we want to route them to the phone number they dialed instead of making them type in a zip code or something to there.  How can this be done in architect?

    Hi Matthew,

    I guess capturing the DNIS and the cross checking it against a data table to route to the correlating location would be the best way to do this. Similar to this post

    Hi Matthew,

    I would purchase a DID for each showroom and transfer the calls in an 1:1 relationship (1 Showroom-number --> 1 DID). You can route every DID throu the same flow. As Samuel mentioned you then can capture the called DID. In Architect ist aviable as the variable call.calledAddress or call.calledAdressOriginal. If you store the relationship between each showroom and each DID in a datatable, then you can use Data Table Lookup to get the number you want to transfer to.
