    "Hi Community,
We are currently rolling out the use of staffing groups and would like to know how these are typically being used within other organizations.
As staffing groups use separate time off groups from the larger MU which also has its own time off group in place, are you deducting the new staffing group time off balance from the larger MU balance to ensure you are not creating elevated time off rules?
    Many Thanks"

    Wynona,

Here is a quick introductory video on Staffing Groups that will explain how to configure staffing groups for time off planning: https://help.mypurecloud.com/video/introduction-to-the-staffing-groups-feature/  Staffing groups helps you to create more granular groupings of agents to assist in segmenting agents for time off limits and time off plans.

Staffing Groups can be associated to Time Off Limits and Time Off Plans. Segmenting groups to limits allows control over time off for each Staffing Group or Management Unit for larger pools of Time Off limits. Like Time Off Plans can be associated to the individual Staffing Group as well.

    Morning Shifts example on Limits:

    Morning Shifts example on Plans:

Staffing groups also recently has been included in enhanced filtering in your schedule view. Clicking the Agents Filter button in schedule view will present more comprehensive filtering options. (screenshot)

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,

I know this is late but this is how we do it - we do staffing groups by BU not MU to help when they transfer between MUs. This ensures all waitlisted is moved appropriately. I know financially what each MU can afford, and I split it between the staffing groups I've set up. So for example, I have a BU with all of the Customer Service businesses. One of the businesses, "Payroll", is also an MU. Within the Payroll MU, I have groups that do email and various voice teams. My staffing groups align with each of those teams, email, voice 1, voice 2, etc. They each have their own balance. Their balances add up to the total I can offer Payroll. The Staffing groups are set up in the Customer Service BU. Hope that helps!
