Afternoon Jason,
if it helps you understand my situation better here is the link I start with that is stored in the Flow.Branch_Links variable:
https://www.members1st.org/atm-and-locations/
and here is an example of how the links should resolve to:
https://www.members1st.org/atm-and-locations/simpson-ferry-road-branch/
Any help is appreciated.

Hello Andrew,
That certainly is odd. When you say that you can confirm that the appended link is formatted correctly, are you saying that the link works when there is no markdown syntax involved? I'm curious if the link for https://www.website.com/random-example-branch/
works.

Subject: Using a Flow Variable to pass a URL the messenger
Hello all,
I am looking for a little syntax assistance! I have a string variable called Flow.Branch_Links which stores the main URL for our branch locations webpage.
In the flow, if a member mentions a specific branch, the Branch slot is manipulated and appended to the Branch_Links variable using an Update Data Action.
I can confirm the appended link is correctly formatted. However, if I try to use the standard Markdown syntax for a link (example: [click here](URL.com)) the browser tries to navigate to "Flow.Branch_Links". Which is obviously not something that can be resolved. I am just trying to have the end user be able to click the word "Here" and the browser to navigate to the appended link stored in Flow.Branch_Links. Does anyone have some insights?
