I did some testing and it appears the call history for the voicemail shows up after the browser is refresh. Is this by design?

Business is reporting VM they received is showing up in call history the next day but not the day they are received. Is that by design, I was under the impression it did not show up in call history admittedly because the agent was away so it is not seen as them getting a actual call.
