Hi Max,
you can find details of Work Plan Bids in the following places:
- the help overview:
- Genesys Beyond Webinar:
- Hurry as this is only available until the 30th of November
Once a Work Plan Bid has been generated and completed you generate schedules as you normally would. The bid process allocates the employee's preferred work plan starting on a given date. Any Schedule generated for a period on or after that date will use the Work Plan from the bid process to create shifts.

Subject: Work plan bids - more than 1 week at a time?
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, are there any documentation on how to generate a schedule based on a work plan bid? I cannot find the option when trying to generate a schedule and I can also not find any information about it here https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/about-workforce-management/

Hi Max,
Work Plan Bids are designed to enable employees to rank/choose their preferred Work Plan including:
- preferred working days of the week
- preferred times of day
Once the bid is complete and the employee has been allocated their highest-ranked preference, based on the rank of employees and availability of Work Plans, you can generate a single schedule for up to six weeks and multiple schedules for up to 26 weeks in the future.
When schedules have been published the employees can utilise the below features to tweak and change their shifts if their circumstances change:
- Shift Trade - with a colleague
- Alternative Shifts - Trade with the system, where alternatives are available and meet the service goal impact configurations.
- Time Off Request
- Negotiation - manual changes agreed with the Admin or their Supervisor
we have also just started work on the idea WFMSCH-I-73- Agent Provided Availability in Scheduling which will enable employees to submit the times of day that they are not available to work helping to customise their Work Plan and resulting shifts to their individual needs.
For example:
I have a flexible Work Plan and can work between 07:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday.
I could submit that on a given date I can't work after 16:00 due to a medical appointment or I can't start before 11:00 on a Friday due to childcare challenges.
Once submitted the Schedule engine, where possible, will schedule you for a combination of shifts that support your unavailable time while still meeting the business service goals.

Hi!
I'm currently investigating if we should implement work plan bidding to empower our agents and allowing them to chose the shifts they actually prefer to work.
Our current schedules are planned in 6 week chunks so we are able to rotate agents on weekends, evenings, night shifts, etc. But when testing out work plan bidding in our DEV environment i cannot figure out if it's possible to create bids for more than 1 week at a time. Is it not possible to create a bid for like an entire month? Or are we required to create 6 separate bids if we want to create a 6 week schedule?
