  • 1.  How to determine why Queue cannot be deleted

    Posted 11-03-2021 14:00
    Hi Everyone,

When trying to delete a test queue we receive the "queue cannot be deleted" message but no information as to why.  We've looked for references from other objects that may be blocking the deletion but couldn't find anything.

Is there any way to determine the cause behind getting the "queue cannot be deleted" message?

You might try running a dependency search for the queue.  If it is used in a flow, Architect will not let you break a flow.

    Hi Robert,

We already tried that (great minds think alike!) and it didn't return any results.  Since then we've been concentrating on a reference in an Admin category object.  But the only method we're aware of is manually looking at everything.

The message implies it knows what the dependency is that is causing the delete to fail.  It's a poor design to present an error message without being able to look at the details behind the error.

Hello. In case the community finds it useful, I had the same problem and the solution was that there was a conversation in that queue. I disconnected the conversation and then I was able to delete the queue. Regards
