In addition to what was outlined by Taras, there is also a feature inside the platform that allows users to send themselves a transcript.
This is done through logging into the Genesys DX Admin Center. From here, go to Channels > Chat > Chat Windows. Next either create a new chat or select an existing chat window found there. After this you want to select Post-chat form.
From here is a simple option to allow customers to send themselves a transcript of their conversation, which can be designated as either plain text or HTML.
