You can use the 'Create Generic Object' step in the 'Generic Object' tab of toolsteps. This gives you a valid Interaction to work with, since you are just looking to send SMS, there's no need for the interaction to be a 'call', any form of interaction will work. Just specify the queue to create the object on, then disconnect it when finished sending the SMS.

Subject: SMS Text issue
Currently have callback (ID1) interaction making auto outbound call, but when machine answers, I trans the outbound call (ID2) to a pre recorded message. How can I send a SMS message without messing up the retry on the Callback. When I do it this way the Callback seems to close every time. Right the SMS is being done in a seperate handler, but using interaction ID 1 to make the SMS send. How do I create a separate interaction id for the SMS?
