Lately i have noticed an increase in bridge responses from the active directory connector.
Internal Error during Data Sync. Unable load configuration from Directory

Has anyone ever had this issue, have raised with support and dev support to point me in the direction of where i should be looking.

    Your help is appreciated

    Hi Darryn,

I'm currently experiencing this issue. A successful sync hasn't occurred since 29-6-18.
I've recreated the connectors between AD and PureCloud, confirmed authentication credentials work. Ensured TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are enabled on the domain controllers.

Our Bridge log error matches yours and when trying to view the 'Data Preview' the error is "Explore failed with exception, request '', Review connector history for additional error information. Exception: "

Logs, screenshots and configurations has been provided to support on the 4th of July with no advise or resolution yet provided..

I'm guessing you've already been asked by Customer Care, but did either of you see an update to either Windows Server on the domain side or to the Bride server software on the PureCloud side just before the problems started?

Is your Bridge server software up to date?

Besides internal windows patch updates i recently noticed in the history that the bridge server was upgraded to version 3.1.0.1210

I have found 2 errors in the logs and forwarded them to Support to provide advice. But seems that goes to the senior engineers to review. So just need to wait I guess. Its terribly frustrating as it was working but now its preventing automatic users from being added to Purecloud. Leaving me to add them manually which is very time consuming.

We apply Windows Updates monthly to domain controllers and can confirm that the patch schedule was not aligned with the errors when they started. No update or change was made to the Bridge connector before errors started but I have since updated to the latest version and have the exact same issue.
I was advised to ensure the domain controller (Win Server 2008 R2) has TLS 1.1 and 1.2 enabled as it isn't be default; as PureCloud function for 1.0 was shut down on the 30th of July (the problems started on the 29th). This had been amended and reinstalled but exact same issue.

I have attached images of errors and config.

    Hi,

Just adding my tp worth, as I got extra info from this discussion.

We are having a similar error:
"Error Bridge.Internal Internal Error during Data Sync. Unable load configuration from Directory."
That started on 30/06/2018 in the night, before that AD connector was operating fine.
Bridge server is running the latest software: 3.1.0.1210 (win-x64)

We have other customers using AD in their Org, and not experiencing this issue. They are running older version of Bridge software (3.1.0.446 win-x64)

The case is with Genesys support.

    Cheers,
    Jean-Christophe

Went to the developer forum for assistance as support are still following up with senior engineers a week on.
Anyways they acknowledge there was an issue and have posted the following details to attempt to rectify. They confirm they were able to replicate it.

This may help - if you try it before I report back please let us know it worked

    Thanks

Great that it is now working for your ORGs.

We are still yet to apply the update, but can anyone confirm if its just the Bridge Servers that need this update applied or did you make the same changes on your AD Servers as well?

We have successfully applied the below link to our DC with Bridge installed - now working as intended.

We have successfully completed the fix for this issue and the data sync issue is no longer present on the 2 bridge servers we operate.
Still have a schema issue but that was present before this error occurred.

    Cheers
