  • 1.  Adjusted required higher than expected

    Posted 03-04-2024 17:51

    Good Evening,

We are working on transitioning to Genesys and we ran our first forecast in Genesys in comparison with our old system to make sure we have the right processes and accurate information. When we did so the adjusted required for the opening shift was higher in Genesys, but as the day goes on the 2 systems matched. We don't have any historical data and believe that it could be occupancy. What is the default occupancy in Genesys, and is there a way to adjust that? If someone is reading this and believes it's something else, please let us know, thank you! We read the resource page on this and most of the factors that could cause a higher required than expected were what you set vs what actually happened, but since we have no historical data, we are not sure.

    Thanks,

    #WorkforceManagement

    Hi Nathan,

Just seen your question - did you manage to find the answer?

I'd recommend reading the following article for potential things to investigate: https://help.mypurecloud.com/faqs/why-are-staffing-requirements-higher-or-lower-than-expected/

Do you have many interactions that come in after hours and thus have a higher 'load' through first shift until you can work down the backlog?
