This happened since around last week. Genesys is aware of it and last update i got on care ticket is will be fixed on 15th July.
If anything urgent you can use the API to update. Patch update user with version and perferredName

Looks to be bugged out for me also if you are talking about the agent alias. I see the field on the profile and can add it as a new section but this is what I see when trying to edit it. It's also showing as blank for some of our agents which is also a problem. I'm personally opening a care ticket for this.
