    Hey Everyone, 

    Please create a new discussion for AMA questions. Thanks for all of the questions! We are getting back to you ASAP?

    I'm really excited for today's Ask Me Anything "AMA" in the PureConnect Community. We have three great experts who will be working with PureConnect as we head towards EOL in 2025. This is a great chance to ask them any question that is on your mind:

    • Technical Questions
    • EOL Questions
    • Questions About Hobbies
    • Everything is Fair Game!
    Hearing about the EOL for PureConnect was truly bittersweet for me. The PureConnect Community is Genesys' oldest online forum. Together, you've built a rich archive of 30k discussions and thousands of members the have come and gone over the nearly two (2) decades that it has been around. 

    As the manager of online communities for Genesys, please let me know what the community can do to help you. If you like this AMA style of interaction, let's do more of them. If you want to try something else, please know that I'm game. Always feel free to reach out to me.

    Why do I need to spend 2-4x as much per year to get the same functionality other than Genesys greed?

    Regarding the recent EOL announcement for PureConnect:
    How long after July 31, 2025 we will be able to renew our subscription licenses for PureConnect?
    We only recently migrated to PureConnect, and the on prem solution was recommend by Genesys. We still have many years to recoup the capital cost of PureConnect.

    When is the end date at which we can still purchase new licenses for an existing PureConnect system? Is that January 1, 2024?

    Good Afternoon,

    I have a question regarding the companies that were pushed to subscription based license purchasing.

    Since these licenses will expire in 1 year time of purchase what will Genesys do for these users?  Since you decided to stop selling perpetual licenses, which would have allows the system to keep running after the EOL support but because we were forced into this type of licenses we are now sitting with a time clock clicking down.  Will your company allow us to change back to the perpetual license model to allow companies to keep the system they purchased even though they won't have support after the EOL date?

    Will there be any sort of tool available to help migrate 19 years worth of customized handlers over to Genesys Cloud or do we essentially have to begin from scratch? We were recently told, by a partner, that someone at Genesys said that they hadn't seen the amount of customized handlers that we have since working with a large client back in 2012. Based on the first question, how long do you think switching to a new platform will take?
