  • 1.  Anonymise Data for GDPR

    Hello,

will it be possible to anonymise conversation data through the API soon? For the upcoming GDPR legislation we would need to be able to remove customer identifiable data, like for example a telephone number, on request.

    Thanks, Jeroen

PureCloud will provide a 'GDPR API' for responding to GDPR requests- specifically for PureCloud customers to respond to validated GDPR requests:

    1. Right of Access, i.e. obtaining Personal Data stored in PureCloud,
    2. Right of Rectification, i.e. correct Personal Data stored in PureCloud, and
    3. Right of Erasure, i.e. forget me requests to remove Personal Data stored in PureCloud.

For Right of Erasure requests, PureCloud will at its discretion delete or anonymize Personal Data such that no identifiable Personal Data will remain in PureCloud, outside of any exceptions.

PureCloud is not planning to provide a specific API for selectively anonymizing Personal Data in the initial release of the GDPR API.

We expect to release the GDPR API in advance of the May 25 GDPR enforcement deadline, with a potential beta period in April 2018.
