    Summary

    We need to backfill for the externalContacts:segmentassignments:view permission. This will need to be done for the following roles:

    • aiAgent
    • masterAdmin

    Monday, August 11, 2025

    Details

    We will soon be releasing a new enhancement to our Segments feature which will allow segments to persist beyond the duration of a web or app session. Previously, to view segments users only needed externalcontacts:session:view permission. However, with this change, segments will be assigned to an external contact rather than a session and therefore externalContacts needs a new permission to allow users to view segment assignments.

    Customer Impact

    No impact once backfill is completed. Customers will now need the externalContacts:segmentassignments:view permission to view segment assignments for a contact.
