  • 1.  Bulk update delete date of recordings not in-scope of any policies

    Hi,

Is there any way to bulk update the delete date of call recordings not currently in scope of any policies?

    Thanks

You can use the recording bulk action API to do so.  Now, you will need to provide Analytics query as a parameter in the API to search for the interactions that you want recordings' delete date to be updated for. But hopefully you know the filter criteria to find all the interactions where the recordings retention were missed in your QM policies.

Thank you, Daniel. Our Telecom team already started on this. I do have a couple of follow up questions:

    • Could we set up a policy with the only criteria required are Inbound and Outbound calls? Actually, we already created a test policy, and it seems to be working as expected but just wanted to make sure. We'll only have Archive and Retention days, and we understand we can det any No (Delete) Recording policy, to override other existing policies.
    • Is there a way we can get a list of deleted recordings for a certain period of time?

Before I answer the questions, I just want to make sure you understand that QM policies do not change the delete dates or archive dates of your past interactions retroactively.  QM policies only impact the interactions that get completed from the point of change.

    But to answer the questions:

    1. I don't see a problem with the QM policies setup that you described
    2. You can query the async Audit API to get all the Recording Delete events for a certain period of time
