I discussed with the product owner and the 350 default value is baaed on expected Edge performance; however, the values vary with the cloud model. The 350 value is per Edge - so the overall value is setting times the number of Edge the trunk is assigned it. Details about the multiplication is available here:
https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/configure-maximum-call-settings/How the 350 value was derived:
https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/concurrent-call-capacity-edge-models/In the cloud model setting this value to zero (0) does not automatically guarantee indefinite resources. Resources are automatically scaled based on load, but if you have an org that will exceed 700 concurrent calls, it would be best to work with your Genesys Cloud team in advance to get the org specific limits set to handle the expected load.

Yup, it seems like Edge is the one who is honoring the value. Even though 350 (Edge v3) is the default for BYOC Cloud the value of 0 (zero) is very interesting.
So, with the setting of 0 (zero) is it safe to advise our customer there are no limits to the number of the concurrent calls? I still believe there are limits and was expecting from you to give the approximate values or ranges.

The UI uses Blue to indicate any value that is not the default. Any value greater than or less than 350 should show up in blue.
The setting is valid for all trunk types where it appears. It is valid for BYOC Cloud trunks as well as BYOC Premise trunks. However, specifically it is the Edge component that honors that value.

Thank you, Phil.
So is it safe to advise our customer that with BYOC Carrier trunk, when Max Calls is set to 0 (zero) there are no limits imposed by Genesys regarding the concurrent call (IN and OUT) on that trunk?
When the parameter Max Calls is changed to any value greater than 350 it changes the background from white to blue. In the screenshot below the setting is 351 and you can see it is highlighted in blue. Any reason why is like that for this trunk type if this limit applies only to trunk type External SIP (BYOC Premise)?

Setting Max Calls to 0 (zero) means that the Edge will not limit the number of active calls accepted on that trunk.

Hi,
Can you please tell me if there are any limits for the Max Calls for BYOC Carrier Trunk setting (AWS Edge)? From the resource pages Configure maximum call settings - Genesys Cloud Resource Center may we assume the setting of 0 for Max Calls means an unlimited number of calls?
Thanks,
