    We are continuing our migrating from an Avaya system to Genesys Cloud

    In the Avaya system there is an option to allow callers to search for a person by entering the first 3 characters of the persons last name. After they enter the characters, the system plays back the name(s) that match the search and when it plays the name of the person you are searching for, you press 1 and then the caller is routed to that persons extension.

     

    Does Genesys Cloud have a similar functionality?

    Hi Ben,

    The short answer is no.

    There is a dial by name option that uses speech rec and there is an extension dialing option. The dial by name option does not ask for confirmation or offer options close to what you say.

    There appears to be on idea related to this on the ideas lab, but it's in the wrong section and only has 2 votes.
