You can set the script to take up most of the screen, but you still have to expand it on every call. I know there was some type of update a month or so ago to this, but cant seem to find it at the moment. Is there a way for it to autoexpand when an interaction comes in?

You can't pop out the script, but you can make it as large as possible but, two things here. First, the Panel Manager will allow you to choose what widget will be shown on each media type. That will get you to the script pop. The other feature is that little bar in the middle of each panel to allow you to set the width of the panel and it remembers that size for the subsequent conversations.
