You can manipulate the Called ID with a Pre-Call rule, however it has to be set to a value from the contact list. So what you need to do is add a couple of columns for Outbound Name / Number, populate it ahead of time and then use the rule to change it out.

Hi all!
Using an Outbound Campaign, we want to use a column of data to reference a data table and pull back a particular Caller ID to use from that table.
I have a data action that accepts the column data and returns a caller id, but i can't sort out how to use the pre-call rules to apply the returned caller id to the call? It seems to only allow you a true/false based on the data action result.
