Continuous Forecasting

I recall hearing about a Genesys improvement coming in the future regarding Forecasting. My understanding is the system would create a snapshot of the created forecast and automatically update the forecast based on actuals leading up to the time of the forecast in terms of AHT for example. What is this called and when is it expected to go live?

    Hello Angela,

That is correct; we are working on a new type of forecasting called the Continuous Forecast; we were hoping to beta it this January but had to hold off to add some polish to it. We are targeting a new beta date in March, but this can change as we continue to work on the project. Would you be open to us contacting you for research around the first beta? We are planning a few beta's around this feature to build off of it and eventually release it to GA as a full feature.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jeremy,

Due to the feature's size and nature, we will be rolling it out in phases. The first beta phase would be just the UI and the Continuous Forecast itself, and we are calling this the read-only beta since what you can do with it is limited. Due to the restricted functionality, for this first beta, we are planning to keep it closed and contact a select few clients, with the goal being to get feedback on the new UI and the concept itself. We are looking for forecasters or planners who use ABM in various industries, but I will keep those in this community post in mind.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Daniel. We are still doing long term forecasting/capacity planning in excel and are desperately searching for a better solution, so please keep us in mind and include if you can!

    Hi Jeremy,

If you have some time, I would love it if you could send me an e-mail at daniel.chapdelaine@genesys.com with what is holding you back from using our current forecasting feature. We might have some other upcoming roadmap items that could help.

    Thanks,

Keep us in mind as well, I think we honestly need more experience in WFM, but would love to be a part of this.

    Hi Angela,

I apologize for the delayed response. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the GA to continue polishing the feature again. Continuous forecasting has been an enormous undertaking for our teams with the new UI and forecasting concept, but we have high confidence that it will be released in the fall. We will be doing some user testing on the later phases of CF features, and I will keep you in mind. If you have any questions about the Continuous Forecast project, feel free to contact me anytime.

    Thanks
