  • 1.  Creating filters in dashboards

    Hi there,
I'm trying to create some filters within the reporting and dashboards (more the latter) and I can't seem to figure it out, even while looking in the documentation.  Filters simply for queues (we have about 40 in different departments so it causes a huge amount of extra time to build).  I can see the filter icon, but I'm unable to create anything with it.  Any input would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Hi Jeff, here are a few screenshots to show the widget creation process.

When you go into edit mode, you should be able create a widget. The most common is the Metric widget.
    Edit mode, select metric widget

Once you click the button to add a widget, you should be able to immediately search for a queue in the Queue textbox. As you type, a dropdown list will appear with any valid suggestions given your org's queues & your permissions/division access.
    Adding queue to filter

After that, you can select the options for your widget by clicking on the wrench icon. There you can select your metric and any other settings.

selecting metric for queue metric widget
Once you've made all your desired changes, you can save it and it should appear in your dashboard.

    handle metric widget for queue

    I hope that helps!

Are you trying to do these filters on the Performance Dashboards?  or the performance Views?  If Dashboards follow Maisey's instructions below.  if views, the primary filter is on the top left corner of the view:
