The API for custom fields profile /api/v2/users/{userid}/profile?fl=* is marked as Deprecated. Is there any other API to be used as a replacement to get custom fields?

Please be aware that this parameter is not supported and as such must not be used. As Eos_Rios stated, there is no way to get the user's full profile information. Voting on the linked idea is the correct course of action as there is no workaround.

Do you have any suggestions if the API POST /api/v2/users/search can be used instead? And if yes, do you have a sample to include custom fields in the query?

Unfortunately, custom profile information is inaccessible via the API; there is no workaround. If you want to view or edit this information, the only way to do it is via the UI.
