    Hi all,

Is there consensus on the best way to delete a large number of recordings?

In PureConnect I think you could do this with policy changes. Can you do something in Genesys Cloud - i.e. if I create a new policy that sets the retention date for <x> queue to be 1 day, will it go back and apply to previous recordings on that queue? I think the answer is no but wanted to check.

In that case, I guess the other option is to do it using the API, first querying the queue to find all the calls I want to delete the recording for and then iterating through and deleting them (assuming the API supports that)?

    Hi James,

QM policy in Genesys Cloud is not retrospective -- it does not change retention dates for historical recordings.  The best way would be to use the recording bulk job API for bulk deletes.

Thanks Daniel, that Jobs API looks like a better way to do it than one-by-one.

    Thank you!
