The setting you found (on the user) is the outbound ID that PureConnect will use when that user places a call. As Greg explained, inbound DID / DNIOS assignments are done in the Phone Number Configuration container. The two are unrelated and in no way need to match. (Although it might make sense for them to in many cases!)
It's a common misunderstanding.

Not sure if anyone encountered this issue, a DID was reassigned to a new User however it rings to the previous user. Add the DID to the New Users profile and removed it from the previous User profile, issue persist.
