That is really confusing since the SMS Number Inventory page in Admin shows an option for Support MMS:

It is NOT enabled on our 2 short codes so I don't know why that would even display if it isn't a configuration option somewhere.

You can't at this time, but soon you will have the ability to use the Content Profiles to restrict inbound and outbound files by file type.

Good afternoon. We have enabled a TF number for SMS interactions in Genesys. However, we do NOT want people to be able to send images (png, jpg, gif, etc.) to our agents. Our shortcodes were created with MMS disabled, but we have been unsuccessful in trying to disable it on the TF or Genesys Voice numbers that are SMS enabled. Does anyone have info on how we can do this?
