HI Louis,
No, cloud edges do not offer call survivability. That being said, they are far more stable than on-premise Media Edges.
We've had to develop a monitoring and automatic maintenance solution for on-prem Media Edges due to how flaky they are. Much better experience with cloud edges and we service a number of different client types and sizes (we provide BYOC SIP as well as managed services for GC).
As a side note, Call Survivability is one of those things that sounds great in theory but is really difficult to implement and often doesn't work when you need it. Standard failover (between dual cloud edges attached to a GC org by default) will get you five 9s (at least so far).
Hope this helps.

Subject: Does BYOC Cloud offer Call Survivability
We currently have BYOC Premise edges and would like to move them to the cloud.
The cloud edges have been described to us a cluster of servers by our provider, does this mean nodes can share storage and therefor provide call survivability?
If not would we lose all calls being handled by a cloud edge if it went down?
