Hello community, has anyone of you been able to deploy the embeddable framework to production?

How has this experience been? How was the actual process of deployment with Genesys?

    Thanks, Henry

Hi, Interested in the same, as we have a customer inquiring about this.

    Thanks, Jean-Christophe

Hi for me this is still in a "limited release", I mean, PEF works fine, you can play with it in a DEV environment, I really like it but you cannot commit to a customer to deliver this product yet. The deployment phase is still ambiguous, there's nothing clear. As you can see in this post https://developer.mypurecloud.com/forum/t/purecloud-embeddable-framework-how-to-submit-a-file-for-review/3754 They say that "PEF is targeting the partner community to create apps to distribute through the AppFoundry" but "Customers and their custom implementations of PEF are a second use case we're looking to address through a slightly different mechanism that is currently in development." It looks like that at the end of February or March the custom implementation can be deployed in the meantime I would suggest to play with it, get familiar, build something good but don't promise anything to a customer yet.

There's nothing different about the apps you'll write, it's simply the distribution method. Currently, official apps will be available to any PureCloud customer via the AppFoundry. This is obviously undesirable for internal-only apps you want only for your org (or your customers in the context of a Genesys partner). What's coming in the future is the ability to publish an official AppFoundry app but not allow it outside of the org(s) you choose.

You can write the integration today and deploy it to your org only as a custom client app: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/set-custom-client-application-integration/

Hi, I understand from the Apps development point of view however, if you want to deploy a custom PEF implementation at this moment: you cannot do it, period, that's the truth confirmed by Richard Schott in a conference meeting on Feb 6. We are still waiting for the release of custom PEF implementation deployments.

I wasn't contradicting that. Just providing an alternative to anyone reading this thread for org-only applications until the private AppFoundary apps feature is released.
