Starting June 2, 2025, we'll begin switching our EVTS transcription engine from Microsoft Azure to AWS Transcribe. This change allows us to streamline our infrastructure by remaining fully within the AWS ecosystem, reducing the need to integrate with external cloud environments.

We're rolling this out in phases to make it as smooth as possible, and it's all part of improving the security and reliability of the platform.

We do not anticipate a noticeable degradation of quality, reliability, or latency of EVTS as a result of this update. Everything you rely on should continue to perform seamlessly.

Which languages are part of Phase 1?

The first group of supported dialects includes:

    • ja-JP – Japanese
    • de-DE – German
    • fr-FR – French
    • fr-CA – French Canadian
    • en-IN – Indian English

    Am I Impacted?

Only if you're using EVTS to transcribe interactions (STA) or power AI features (like Agent Copilot) in one or more of the dialects listed above.

Do I need to do anything in preparation for this change?

No, this is a behind-the-scenes change and doesn't require any setup or changes on your end. Everything will keep working just like it does today.

When will the rest of EVTS supported languages be migrated to AWS Transcribe?

As we continue migrating more EVTS-supported languages to AWS Transcribe, we'll make sure to communicate the rollout dates in advance, so you always know what to expect and can stay informed every step of the way.
