Dear colleagues,

I didn`t find possibility to assign automatically the External Contacts to proper External Organizations by Bulk Important. I mean UI, not API. In our Organization we have Service Lines in different countries and the idea is the local colleagues to be able to do the job.

Could anybody help me?

It is called Account for some reason.

• To import an external organization, you must include these fields: Account Id and Account Name.

Thank you very much for your answer! This was also my first thought about "Account" and tried separately with Account Id and Account Name, but not in combination and that is why I didn`t get the Contact added. I made new tests, following your tip, but I encountered another issue.

When I try to import a Contact with Account Id and Account Name of already existing External Organization, by this import a new External Organization is being created with exactly the same Id and Name. My first thought was that maybe some other parameter should be added and I added Account Type, because for the original External Organization it was presented and by the import I missed it. I repeated the procedure, but the result was the same. I am adding a file with screen-shots here. It could help.

Do you have some explanation for this issue also?

I am sorry I didn`t see correctly th Id of the newly created by the Bulk Important External Organization. It is different than original. But nevertheless the issue exists. By the Bulk Import you always create a new organization and the imported contacts are in it.

I am sorry I didn`t see correctly th Id of the newly created by the Bulk Important External Organization. It is different than original. But nevertheless the issue exists. By the Bulk Import you always create a new organization and the imported contacts are in it.

I am going to have to test this.  @Katie Ritz, do you have any comments on this?  I never actually attempted this, but it should not require both fields if you have Account ID defined.
