As per the release notes the new features /functionality for uploading bulk records to contacts became effective on 18-11-2024. It came in on the release notes of January 27, 2025. We have been using this new feature since January 28 2025. However, we've noticed that it now takes about 7 to 8 minutes to upload a single CSV file. Moreover, previously, we could upload multiple files simultaneously, but with the new feature, we have to upload each file individually. This significantly increases the time required to upload all the files. Previously this would be up to 1 min max (we have up to 20 files to upload weekly).
We logged with Genesys but they came back with the following:-
In their experience, the new process of importing external contacts takes longer than the old process. However, this is working as designed as the new process had an additional parameter to check which is the external sources. This is something not involved in the recording provided, it will still take some time to process the import as it is how it is done now. Their engineer also agree that it is indeed taking some time in the new process. New process involves the following verification: ? Improved user experience ? Enhanced monitoring and scalability ? Multiple levels of data validation ? Improved source-to-target field mapping ? Built-in identity resolution, enrichment and contact merging capabilities And because of that, it take some time to perform the said process. If you prefer the old process of uploading contacts, They suggest submitting a feature enhancement.
We have submitted an Idea to get this looked at but for now, this is almost unworkable for us and taking up too much resources. A job that was taking 20mins previously is now taking 2-3 hours. Is anyone else having this experience or have you noticed a considerable increase in upload times?
