I have opened a ticket, but they normally refer anything dev related to the forums, so I figured I would go ahead and get this out here.

I have a webservices-datadip connector and a custom action. I know the request schema is fine, because the request is sent properly and the response shows in the log. The response schema is pretty simple with 3 strings and the names match what shows up in the log. The log shows the Sending Payload and Text given by web service, but no errors.

Any ideas why this would take the failure path in in an Architect task, but show no errors?

BTW I tried logging at TRACE and DEBUG with no different result in the log.

    Thanks, Daniel

Have you followed all of the steps under the section Bridge action takes the failure path in the Troubleshoot the web services data dip connector article?

Yes. I also edited the task and replaced the Call Data Action with Call Bridge Action and it works with the same settings. Any thoughts on this? Shouldn't we be moving towards using Call Data Action?

The goal is to call it from Data Actions.Execute Data Action in a script. I have another ticket open, because the variables configured in the Execute Data Action Step are no longer saved and just revert to empty upon saving.

    Thanks, Daniel

<strike>If you've written a bridge integration, you need to use the Call Bridge Action action when invoking the service. The Call Data Action action is for something else.</strike>

This is supposed to work. @Richard.Schott?

Yes, this is supposed to work. If it is not (which it sounds like it isn't), this should go through our support channels so it can be resolved.

OK, I'll continue with the support ticket process. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I missed that I might be able to get help with here, since they will ask.

    Thanks, Daniel
