  • 1.  Filtering an outbound contact list for duplicate numbers

    Hi there

we are setting up a new outbound campaign and are wondering if there is a good way to skip duplicate numbers so that we do not call more than once within the campaign.  We are automatically uploading new records to append to the current list on a nightly basis but the information is based on jobs and not specific to the customer, so chances for duplicates are high.

Is there a way to to pull duplicate phone numbers out before even appending new records to the list.  If not is there a way to sort the list by phone number and create a rule to skip the record if it has previously been called?  We are new to building campaigns in this system and are trying to avoid as much extra effort cleaning the list on a regular basis.

When creating your Contact List go to the Advanced section and select a column from the Unique Identifier Column. A unique identifier is useful if you plan on appending to this list with more data in the future. When you specify a unique identifier column, such as a customer ID or account number, the append process can match incoming data with existing contacts and prevent duplicates while also providing field level updates (i.e. new balance, new appt date, new ph number, etc) form the newer append list.
