  • 1.  GDPR_API Delete Request

    Posted 10-04-2022 12:14
We are trying to delete a users login id (email address) entirely from our Org/Site.

Per Genesys, I performed A GDPR_API Request-Delete for the users ID

the request (after a day or so) did come back and shows as completed.

When I try to reassign to a user (same user) it still provides the pop-up that the login ID was recently deleted and wants to know if I want to restore it.

The purpose of doing this is because we believe her login ID was/is corrupted.

Has anyone else tried to remove a login ID totally so that all data is removed and what was the result?

Hi Michael I've done this a few times for similar reasons but haven't really noticed this behaviour because our users are provisioned via SCIM from AD.

I guess one quick test - after you've done your delete request, have you checked and confirmed that the user was actually hard deleted?

What I did was, set the user up with a new login ID using her original name@gmail.com and removed the other profile totally from the system

Then ran the GDPR delete request

User is having no issues with gmail.com id but we prefer she uses her company email as the ID

As I noted, it came back as completed. But still asks if I want to restore her original login ID, my concern is that if there is corruption is it still there?

    Thank you, Mike

Should I put the original login id back in maybe as a user and run the delete process again?

    Thank you, Mike
